Nicole Martino is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering, Computing, and Construction Management at Roger Williams University. She earned her Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University. Her academic areas of specialty include structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures. Her research interests focus on the ability to understand the various stages of reinforced concrete bridge deck deterioration using electromagnetic, electrochemical, and mechanical nondestructive evaluation techniques; she has presented and published many papers in this topic area. The ultimate goal of her research is to develop a user-friendly tool for transportation agencies that can immediately and accurately assess the internal com¬position of bridge decks.
