Sarah grew up in Denver, CO and studied math at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. After a plant-centric introduction to biology, she became interested in molecular and cellular biology and earned a PhD from Columbia University's Biological Sciences Program. Her graduate work focused on understanding regulation of the molecular motor complex, cytoplasmic dynein. She now works as a medical writer.
