Dr. Emily Weiss is the Dow Chemical Company Professor in Northwestern University’s Department of Chemistry. She earned her A.B. from Princeton University, and her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Northwestern in 2005. Dr. Weiss's research group studies the behavior of nanoscale particles and molecules when they absorb light energy, and aims to discover ways they can convert light energy to electricity and fuel. She is a Public Voices Fellow with The Op-Ed Project.
