Finale Doshi-Velez is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Harvard University. Her research in machine learning, computational statistics, and data science develops methods for turning data into actionable knowledge in domains such as healthcare. She is a member of the Working Group on Explanation and the Law in the Ethics and Governance of Artificial Intelligence initiative at Harvard's Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society. Finale received her Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from MIT. She was a Marshall Scholar at the University of Cambridge and was named one of IEEE's "AI Top 10 to Watch" in 2013.
