Matthew P. Goetz, M.D., is a researcher, professor, and clinician at the Mayo Clinic. He has been the principal investigator of several clinical trials focused on the integration of pharmacogenomics into cancer treatment and the development of novel therapeutics in this area. He currently co-leads Mayo’s Breast Cancer Genome Guided Therapy (BEAUTY) study. After receiving his medical degree from University of North Dakota, Dr. Goetz completed training in internal medicine at University of Michigan. Dr. Goetz is currently the chair of the Breast Cancer Disease-Oriented Group at Mayo, co-leader of Mayo’s Women's Cancer Program, and deputy director of the Mayo Clinic’s Breast Cancer Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE).
