BusinessRahul Telang is a Professor of Information Systems and Management and the Co-Director of IDEA, the Initiative for Digital Entertainment Analytics, at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College. Professor Telang’s research is broadly interested in how information and communication technologies (ICTs) and associated digitization of information impact consumers, business, and policy, particularly in the digital media industry and with respect to information security and privacy. Dr. Telang has published extensively in many top management and policy journals and held senior editor positions at ISR (Information Systems Research) and MIS Quarterly. He is the coauthor of the book Streaming, Sharing, Stealing: Big Data and the Future of Entertainment (MIT Press, 2016). Dr. Telang completed his undergraduate education and an M.B.A. in India and received a Ph.D. in Industrial Administration (Information Systems) from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon.
