Sophia Lafferty-Hess works as a Research Data Management Consultant at Duke University, where she provides instruction and guidance on data management strategies, tools, policies, and best practices. Prior to taking the position at Duke, Sophia was a Research Data Manager at the University of North Carolina's Odum Institute for Research in Social Science. In that role, she worked with the American Journal of Political Science to develop a data curation and verification workflow for quantitative data as a central component of the journal’s Replication & Verification Policy. Lafferty-Hess has an M.S. in Information Science from the University of North Carolina.
