Rachel-Lyn Longo is a recent graduate of the University of Rhode Island and holds a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology. Her work as a student researcher began in the spring of 2014, when she studied Paid Family Leave Policies in Rhode Island during a Senior Seminar with Professor Shanna Pearson-Merkowitz. Throughout her undergraduate career, Rachel-Lyn has been interested in familial health and wellbeing, which has sparked a curiosity for further research on PFL following the completion of this project. In the future, she plans to continue her research in public policy.
